Partners and collaborators are educators.
Since being founded, we’ve gathered local county, state, and city experts in stormwater management and water quality to bring education to contractors, developers, homeowners, businesses, and students. Salt Lake County Stormwater Coalition consists of public work employees from each participating municipality, scientists, directors, and engineers that lead coordinated permit regulations and compliance. These efforts are always in conjunction with the United States Environmental Protection Agency.
Addressing what is stormwater, the importance of water quality, and best management practices.
As a coalition — in partnership with Bluffdale, Cottonwood Heights, Draper, Herriman, Holladay, Midvale, Millcreek, Murray, Riverton, Salt Lake City, Sandy, South Jordan, South Salt Lake, Taylorsville, West Jordan, and West Valley with Salt Lake County and participating County Departments working to maintain state and federal permits regarding clean stormwater.
As participants in the Salt Lake County Stormwater Coalition, municipalities through individualized Public Works Departments address and facilitate cleanup of stormwater pollution in Salt Lake County. As a result, water quality efforts have been improving over 15 years.
